During my time as a response police officer I responded to emergency and non emergency incidents. This involved making rapid decisions in high pressure situations. I conducted investigations by gathering evidence, preparing statements and carrying out various enquiries. I managed conflict whilst also de-escalating situations using high standard communication skills. These communication skills assisted me in working effectively with members of the public from all backgrounds including those who are vulnerable. I efficiently prioritised my workload whilst also handling ongoing incidents and operational demands. I worked as a team whilst also working independently with accountability and integrity.
I held various roles whilst at Lancaster City Council which included cafe assistant, customer services advisor and grant administrator.
Whilst working at the cafe I provided a friendly and efficient customer service whilst in a fast paced environment. I handled cash and card payments and used the till system to a high standard. I worked well within a team whilst also working alone if required. I built positive relationships with regular customers by using strong communication skills.
During my time as a customer services advisor I assisted customers with a wide range of enquires. This was on the phone, by email and face to face. I was able to resolvef any problems faced by customers efficiently and with high professionalism. Customer services covered a wide array of departments and I was able to answer calls for several departments and provide a fantastic service with a plethora of knowledge. I demostrated strong listening and communication skills whilst managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload.
During my time as a grant administrator I assisted vulnerable individuals in accessing financial support during the COVID-19 pandemic. My role was to assess indivual situations to determine eligibility for assistance. It was my decision as to who got that support and who didn't, in addition to how much support individuals got. I was handling large quatities of money in doing so. I worked with partner agencies (national businesses to local charities) and spoke at length with incredibly vulnerable people. I worked within a close knit team and to an incredibly high standard.
I am Olivia, 26, and I live in Over Kellet with my partner and (50% of the time) my step son. We have a Belgian Malinois called Luca, two rabbits called Pollie and Peaches and two guinea pigs called Hugo and Norbert. Animals are very important to me and I would not be without them.
I grew up in Heysham and am very close with my family. I am the eldest of four and being a big sister is the best job in the world. I own a property in Lytham, in addition to living in Over Kellet, and love spending time down there. I have a passion for interior design, gardening and have recently found a love for cooking. I have always been academic and career driven. I always knew policing was for me but a few recent life events have me seeking a better work life balance.
