I am a hard working university student, currently working towards an English Literature degree at the University of Exeter. I am very interested in working within the media and communications industry, and keen to gain work experience during my time as a student. I enjoy learning about all forms of media, such as books, films, music, radio and social media. During my time in sixth form, I was an editor of the school's magazine. I also have my own creative Instagram account where I produce graphics within my own free time (@livsribbons).
During my work experience at kmfm, I was able to shadow many different roles throughout the radio station, learning about news segments, content research, live presenting, music scheduling and more. I was also able to produce some of my own content in the studio which provided me with great insight into presenting and how a successful radio station works smoothly.
Within my role as a Catering Assistant, I work hard to make sure the running of the restaurant goes smoothly by helping customers and completing tasks within the kitchen. Through this role, I have developed my teamwork skills by problem-solving with my colleagues to resolve any issues that arise. I have also learnt how to provide a strong customer service through efficient and friendly communication.
