- I played for East Preston FC where I also volunteered to train and coach the younger age groups

- Whilst coaching I improved my ability to be patient and understanding of others and I learnt how to motivate and encourage the team players
- Lots of the team members lacked confidence and I gained a lot of satisfaction in watching their confidence grow and their football skills improve
- I learnt how to be a good role model, knowing the younger members looked up to me and trusted me
- I believe the skills I learnt whilst coaching will help me in the work place as it helped to improve my communication skills and I learnt how to interact with lots of different people
- I was also involved in setting up the training sessions, ensuring the training environment was safe along with packing away the equipment at the end of a session.
