I am looking for a job in finance, that requires little social interaction, that is stimulating and which can scale. I took STEM subjects at A-Levels and went on to study for a Chemistry BSc at university, but unfortunately did not complete my degree leaving in my third and final year/stage with 315/360 credits achieved on the overall degree, due to stress and anxiety tied to personal events. I have many years of personal experience trading and investing in stocks and I understand the financial markets and everything related to it quite well.
I spent two weeks rotating in several departments in the front office : forex, research, treasury, structured products, credit and equities. I was particularly interested in the quantitative aspect of research as I felt I could apply some of the statistical skills I have acquired during my scientific studies.
I spent two weeks in an Asset Management firm working with the team responsible for analysing Japanese equities. I learned the importance of the financial analyst work in the investment decision process and also the input of sales side analysts.
