I have experience in customer service and communicating with people in a professional and friendly way. I'm passionate about sports and have a keen interest in human anatomy, which has helped me build a good understanding of fitness and overall health. I'm hardworking, reliable, and always aim to do my best. I'm looking for an opportunity where I can use my skills to provide great customer service while helping the team achieve the best possible results.
During my time working for Matthew Collins Furniture, I worked from Monday to Friday, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm. When working with wood, I was qualified to operate the machines to a safe and respectful manner prioritising the quality of my work. I created various projects, including chopping boards, bedside tables, bookshelves, medicine cabinets, and other forms of cabinetry. With each job I would gain more experience and knowledge, further boosting my confidence for the next project and expanding my insight of the furniture making industry. With the skills I have developed in this employment, I have improved my confidence to speak to more experienced member of staff and to prioritise constant quality in any of the work produced.
While working for Cotswold Wildlife Park, I worked from 9am to 4-5pm every Saturday. As part of the job, I began my shift preparing food which will be served to the customers later that day. For the remainder of the shift I am appointed a task at random which changes every week. Typically, I served hot and cold drinks and food to customers in kiosks or in the main restaurant. As part of the job I was also required to be able to maintain high hygienic standards. While working with Cotswold Wildlife Park, I have learnt to communicate with customers to satisfy their needs, prepare and serve food. With these skills I can implement them into any future career by knowing the correct approach and expectancies when conversing with customers.
I was working from 6pm to 9-10pm every Wednesday. I worked with a chef in the same kitchen and followed their instructions whenever needed. As standard, I would be cleaning dishes and cutlery to ensure it is sanitary for the use of the customers. During my shift, I also made sure that the kitchen was both clean and hygienic for the preparation of food. I disposed of the bins and waste at the end of my shift and occasionally prepared desserts for the customers. When working inside the pub's kitchen, I learnt about the standards a general pub has and the responsibilities that the staff have in a small business. With this knowledge, it can help me understand the organisation of similar businesses and the methods/responsibilities the staff have.
I participated in both the bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh awards. I volunteered at my judo club I used to attend in Brize Norton for a total of 9 months. For my skills section, I continued to develop my skills playing the piano which I had been doing for the last 8 years. As for the physical, I continued to participate in my judo club, which I been attending for roughly 10 years prior. These sections developed my patience and discipline to both learn and teach. Additionally, both expeditions developed my skills to work in a team to overcome any difficulties we encountered on our hike.
