I worked consultatively with customers to specify the most suitable hardware solutions for long-term engineering projects, which typically involved trial periods before full deployment.

  • Ensuring all stakeholders were up to speed and informed of latest developments on the project.

  • I was the only UK employee and initially employed in a sales support role.
  • After three months I progressed to sales and project manager.
  • Was appointed as the project manager for the company's largest UK project, a £1.4m digital display installation at a UK airport.
  • The team I coordinated consisted of: Structural (2 People), Architectural (3 People), Electrical (2 People), Fabrication (4 People), Sales (3 People).
  • I enjoyed the role but the company was poorly run and I would often be paid 2 weeks late. I decided to leave after discovering that my employer had failed to make any PAYE tax payments to the HMRC, even though they had been deducted from my own pay. I decided to spend 3 months traveling in Asia and returned at the end of April.

  • After 18 months I had grown my accounts to have a revenue target of £2,400,000 and profit target of £225,000 per quarter.
  • My day to day work consisted of meetings with my accounts and their users to understand the projects they were working on.
  • My role was to liaise with our build team and vendors to assemble the best solution for our clients and their users.
  • During my time at Techdata I was able to utilise my network of industry contacts and bring new clients into the business.
  • A number of these developed to become some of the largest accounts for the team.

  • At Hays I was running a 180 desk (candidate only) across North Hampshire and Surrey recruiting for all IT contract positions.
  • I covered 1st line support roles paying £150 a day all the way through to service delivery managers and chief architects on £1000+ a day.•
  • My main responsibility was to speak with as many candidates as possible and get them interested in open roles our clients were trying to fill.
  • I would regularly over-achieve my call targets each day.
  • I made my first placement within the first 2 weeks, whereas it took other new starters as long as 6 months to do the same.
  • I also onboarded new clients to the business even though that was not my responsibility at the time.
