This first interested me when I was tasked to help out on an end of season football review show whilst at university. That involved simply speaking on air about the talking points of the season and facts and statistics. Since that show I became a regular on the Friday sports show.
My main specialty is in radio journalism as I worked with a radio company within the university called Siren Radio. It would be my favourite aspect because of the versatility but producing and presenting is where I really stand out. However in news and more niche topics, I am comfortable talking about. Research is another one of my strong points during production ahead of a show
I joined SheffieldLive in May 2025 as I contacted the producer there. My role here is mainly presenting and researching, similar to what I did at university. I work on a show called Communities Live. The show runs between 12:00-13:00 every Monday to Friday. A different topic is discussed every day ranging from local topics to more national and international topics. Sometimes guests are present in the studio if asked as well.
In April 2025 I worked on the broadcasting set up of a basketball game between the Sheffield Sharks and the Caledonia Gladiators, which was produced by Dynamic Broadcast. The set up used various parts of equipment that joined up to camera's, monitors and headsets to ensure the that the broadcast went out with no issues. The set up happened all around the court and behind one of the stands where a lot of the cables were set up to link to camera and monitors.
During the game, i was given a headset to observe the communication that goes on throughout the game up to the gallery to produce the best broadcast possible. After the game, I helped to de-rig all of the equipment used for the game.

Aside from attending press conferences and football matches, I also did a lot of work within the office too. This included writing bulletins to be read at 17:00 every Monday to Friday, this was mainly the sport section but I also wrote some of the normal news section as well. On occasions I also had the opportunity of reading bulletins as well.
In March 2024 I co-presented a show on Siren Radio called 'City Vibe'. This show was to showcase skills as a presenter and organisation as well of how to put a show together in terms of news, music and interaction, in this case a quiz. because this was a rota, the other weeks i was either writing bulletins or gathering stories for the bulletins.
