Summary

Hardworking with good co operating skills and independent skills which i needed to complete my Bronze DOFE. I also done army cadets for a year which took a lot of hard work and dedication as it was 4 hours a week and we went to Ottorburn army camp once every 2 months for 3 days. I am good with hands on jobs and love using tools. I also went on the tour around Hexham Egger and asked specifically to see the workshop.

Work history

Car mechanic

Darts Motor Services
Hexham, Northumberland

I have helped my dad around his shop a couple weekends and especially on school holidays. When i first went to the shop my dad told me how to do simple jobs such as changing oil and window wiper fluid and then i he told me how to change brake systems so changing disc pads, rotors and calipers. Then i could do these jobs myself and he would just tell me what cars need what and i could do some of it myself. I enjoy doing this because i like hands on jobs.

opticians

I have done a few days work for my mums opticians and i started of by cleaning and doing simple tasks but then she told me how to use the glazing machine and when using it i had to set the parameters, so inputting the correct lens type and size. I have also done record filing.
