Murano is a bespoke capital introduction and placement firm that provides a range of capital advisory services to fund managers and institutional investors.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with over 300 institutional investors via both warm and cold calls.
• Sourcing, screening and contacting institutional investors on a daily basis, both organically and through the firm’s CRM. This includes leads at Family Offices, Pension Funds, Endowments, Insurance Companies, and Non-Profits, across Europe, Asia and North America.
• Discussions with these institutions revolve around current investment mandates, market views, and asset allocation.
• Made a range of introductions across the Hedge Fund and Real Assets spaces that resulted in a number of allocations.
• Account manager and dedicated analyst for around 10% of the firm’s client base, whose products range in size from pre-launch to multi-billion. This allowed me to gain an intimate understanding of the underlying strategies and client-specific needs throughout the capital raising process, alongside managing ad hoc client requests.
• Provided clients with strategic advice related to new product launches and road shows across the US, Europe and Asia.
