Applied to AJ Engineering for the SVQ 3 apprenticeship in fabrication and welding, which has been recently completed. Upon completing the apprenticeship I am confident in light and medium fabrication as well as some more advanced welding procedures, also carrying out risk assessments when required and maintaining the expected level of health and safety throughout. I have effectively developed my ability to read and extract information from technical drawings as well as further increasing my teamwork skills to ensure tasks and jobs can be carried out accurately and safely. Just this past month I have also been trained and passed on a 6G flux core test and in these past weeks have been using these skills for ongoing jobs within the workshop.
During my time at The Kitchin Restaurant I developed an array of skills in a high pressure, time dependant environment. I had the honour of working under and learning from Tom Kitchin himself, and his brigade of extremely detail attentive and passionate chefs. During my time at The Kitchin I became comfortable with working as an effective team to meet sharp deadlines whilst maintaining a Michelin star level of quality, In time I was also trusted to teach and share my new learned skills with new chefs starting in the industry.
