Ola Awara

Urban Planning graduate, my curiosity for learning and commitment to the field drive my academic journey. I've expanded my education through extensive fieldwork travel to over 25 cities in the past year, studying various urban strategies worldwide. These experiences serve as a practical extension of my classroom education, enabling me to actively apply theories and principles acquired at the University of Calgary and Liverpool. Now, with a solid foundation in both textbook knowledge and real-world fieldwork, I hope to contribute and further my learning through hands-on engagement in a workplace setting.

• Traveled to over 25 cities and met with urban planners within those cities to understand planning strategies. Took observations and field notes that were later used to create a Storymap using ArcGIS to comparatively analyze urban planning methods and outcomes in different cities.
• Won 3rd place against over 50 teams in a National Real Estate competition with the University of Calgary, where I rendered a full architectural model and financial plan.
