Ohana Berger

I am currently a research assistant at the Aerospace Research Department of Samara University . Currently, I am actively engaged in a project focused on the development of a 3U CubeSat, designed to conduct optical communication tests in low Earth orbit.

Within this project, I concentrate in the implementation of passive stabilization methods, leveraging aerodynamic moment and gravitational gradient.

Apart from my involvement in the CubeSat project, I am also the responsible of overseeing and managing the utilization of the department's 3D printer.

My experience as a freelance translator from English, Spanish, and Russian to Portuguese has been diverse and extensive. I have worked in various spheres, ranging from translating social media posts and ads to technical documents, company websites, client messages, scientific articles and more.

I have gained valuable experience in handling technical language from different domains and adeptness in tailoring texts to specific target audiences. My commitment to delivering high-quality translations ensures that the essence and context of the original messages are preserved, no matter what the task or project is.

As an interpreter fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and English, I have gained extensive experience facilitating communication and smooth interactions across these languages.

I have successfully interpreted online meetings between companies and clients, conducted business calls, and participated in in-person meetings.

Since I have already lived in countries where the languages I know are spoken, I understand the nuances and subtleties of each language, as well as the cultural contexts in which they are used.

Since 2019, I have been providing assistance to high school and undergraduate students with various math topics. My role involves helping them tackle lists of exercises, gaining a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, and preparing for exams.

During my time as a math tutor, I have developed effective teaching strategies to simplify complex concepts and foster a supportive learning environment.

Since 2020, I have been teaching the Portuguese language to speakers of Spanish, English, and Russian. Since I prepare my own teaching materials, I tailor each lesson to meet the unique needs and aspirations of every student, whether they seek language skills for travel, official exams, business purposes, or simply the joy of learning a new language.

I have also worked with institutional materials. This has provided me with valuable insights into different language learning approaches and allowed me to adapt my teaching methods to align with the institution's established techniques.

Personally, I am deeply passionate about both teaching and the Portuguese language, so the fusion of these two passions is a truly fulfilling experience for me.
