OGECHUKWU. A. ESI

Social worker

Summary

My experience as a young person shaped me into a caring, patient, and empathetic individual. I would often see the well-being of others who are deprived in one aspect or the other of their lives as part of my responsibility—for instance, standing up to bullies or injustice at school and in the workplace. Having obtained a Diploma and B.Sc. in social work (Nigeria) and Master's in social work, in addition to having worked as a support worker with adults in the last three years, I feel adequately prepared for the next challenge for the next phase, which I believe will allow me the opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of people, especially adults who are socially marginalized, disadvantaged and excluded through supporting and promoting their well-being and promoting equality. I am an enthusiastic, empathic, determined, and outspoken person. I thrive on putting a smile on the face of others. I am equally a good team player and an active listener, blessed with patience and tolerance. I have a positive approach to life, with a firm “can do” attitude. I believe in giving my best in every given situation. I can handle the challenges and pressure associated with working with adults in social work practice.
