In conjunction with Commercial leadership for QUIDELORTHO, the Associate Director is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the international distributors through which QuidelOrtho offers products in the Middle East. This position identifies, qualifies and helps select international distributors, managing the process through the contracts phase into full distribution. The Manager is responsible for preparation and gathering of business reviews for each country assigned and works closely to ensure that the distributors are supported with appropriate team contributions (translations, technical support, regulatory/quality affairs documentation, manufacturing, shipping and customer service). The Manager assists distributors and their agents with ordering, forecasting, receipt and dissemination of products. This position works closely with the Senior Director to establish market pricing and distributor price points for quotations to the distributors. The Manager profiles country and distributor needs and maintains an accurate and up to date contact list for all parties that do business with Quidel in the Middle East. Efficient day to day and month to month planning as well as adherence to budget is a crucial function of this position.
Manages forecasts and supports distributor sales efforts within the Middle East. Maintains a forecast of the region’s business opportunities.
Communicates with existing and new distributors and with all Quidel team members to ensure product mix meets the needs of the country and is within the scope of Quidel to produce and provide. Contacts distributors or direct customers to gain interest in Quidel’s products and qualifies and supports others to qualify customers for competitive or alternative testing methods, opportunities for product use.
Understands and explains Quidel’s products and their uses as well as their relationship to competitive products. Presents an overview of products and business reviews professionally to gain superior results from distributors.
Introduces new products as developed by Quidel to distributors and, on occasion, directly to customers utilizing the most expedient means to provide this information, including phone, internet, web, mailings and in-person visits.
Qualifies data and distributor site visits, quotations, and analysis of the business tracking data. Maintains a log of such records using CRM and other reporting tools. Monthly reports will include analysis of distributor report summaries, business growth/losses compared to prior year and more specific time periods to be defined and defining opportunities with appropriate forecasting.
Identifies necessary components of contracts, insuring contracts or letters of intent are suitable for Quidel and the distributor, are in place and monitored, product registrations and translations are in process, and orders and shipments are accurate.
Provides a reliable liaison between customer service and technical support both on the distributor and Quidel side of the business.
