Summary

I am a motivated and reliable professional seeking a trainee office-based role, such as audit or real estate, where I can develop new skills and build a long-term career. I am particularly interested in a role that offers progression, training and the potential for hybrid or remote working- although this is not essential.

I bring over 3.5 years of experience as a self-employed Nail Technician, where I developed strong organisational skills, attention to detail, client communication and time management. Alongside this, I previously completed 18 months of a Dental Nursing apprenticeship, gaining experience in professional environments. Which included working to procedures, maintaining records and supporting teams in a regulated setting.

As a parent to young twins, I am now seeking a more stable and consistent income and a new professional challenge. I am hardworking, eager to learn and keen to apply my transferable skills within an office environment where I can grow, contribute and develop a long-term career.

Work history

Qualified Nail Technician

Finlays Hairdressing
10.2024 - 01.2026

In October 2024, I changed the location of my role due to evolving family commitments and planned relocation. With an upcoming house move, I made the decision to work closer to where my partner, children and I would be based. Additionally, client demand in my previous location was declining so the move allowed me to remain active and consistent in my work.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my role as a Nail Technician. In particular the creativity, client interaction, and flexible work–life balance it provides. During my time I have:

  • Maintained a relaxing atmosphere through friendly interaction with clients whilst performing nail treatments.
  • Offered personalised consultations for clients desiring unique nail designs.
  • Assured smooth operation of my work day by managing appointments efficiently.
  • Completed administrative tasks such as handling cash transactions and maintaining client records accurately.

Examples of my work, which reflect my professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to high standards, can be viewed on Instagram: @_MBNAILARTISTRY

Qualified Nail Technician

The Beauty Club
06.2022 - 02.2024

I thoroughly enjoyed working at The Beauty Club, where I gained valuable experience in both client-facing and administrative responsibilities. Alongside carrying out treatments, I assisted with managing bookings for multiple technicians, maintained accurate records, ensured a clean and organised workspace and demonstrated strong time management to meet appointment schedules. This role required attention to detail, organisation and the ability to work efficiently within a team.

Trainee Dental Nurse

Allestree Dental Practice
09.2021 - 09.2022

I have broad experience within dentistry, having worked across two practices and supported 10 different practitioners. I am trained in CPR, medical emergencies and infection control. I am comfortable working within regulated, high-standard environments.

My role involved assisting with a wide range of treatments, including fillings, root canal procedures, crowns, bridges, dentures, examinations and charting. I also gained experience supporting reception duties, including patient communication, appointment coordination and record management.

I worked in a practice that transitioned from NHS to private care, which developed my ability to communicate sensitively and professionally with patients. This experience strengthened my customer service skills - particularly in managing concerns, explaining changes clearly, and showing empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.

Trainee Dental Nurse

Wollaton Dental Care
01.2021 - 09.2021
  • I began my dental nursing apprenticeship with Wollaton Dental Care, however my probationary period unfortunately was terminated as they were no longer able to support the scheme and I had to find a new Practice very quickly, which thankfully I was able to do as I had already gained a lot of experience and training both in the biological aspects of the work and in customer skills which proved valuable in my transition.
  • I feel proud of myself when a patient leaves no longer in pain, happy with their result.
  • Having a calm, friendly and welcoming attitude is a skill I have massively grown on in the job.
  • My time at this practice taught me how to remain composed in stressful situations and demonstrated that I am a quick learner.
  • My role consisted of, disinfecting and cleaning down surgery’s, setting up for procedures, taking notes, remembering the order of procedures and knowing where everything is within the surgery in case of a change of plan, updating medical histories, making patients feel comforted who are stressed, disinfecting and repackaging instruments in the decontamination room, being trained for a medical emergency and completing procedures on patients alongside the dentist/hygienist.
