Profile Summary
I recently completed a 6-month contract as a Technical Accountant for Trustquay Limited. My experiences include:
• Accounting and Advisory (Technical Accountant) – I’ve been involved in preparation of judgement papers for complex issues, implementation and application of IFRS standards, ESG Reporting, Merger and Acquisitions including being involved in PPA exercises and balance sheet fair valuing of assets in order to ensure correct fair valuing of assets and liabilities and that the standards are applied in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
I have performed a review of the month end balance sheets prepared by the Financial Controller, worked with global tax advisers to ensure tax compliance for all subsidiaries, supported and managed Group and subsidiary audits, prepared the Group consolidated and individual statutory financial statements for 14 entities in the Group as well as working with CFO on entity rationalisation and group restructuring.
• IPO listing (including Acquisitions and carve-outs), Bond issuances Listing and historical financial statements preparation – I have worked on numerous successful listings in including an E-commerce client, online food delivery company, digital consumer intelligence company, oil and gas etc, having worked directly with the Finance Directors, bankers, lawyers, management specialists and other stakeholders in order to deliver successful dual listings in the UK and US. I also worked with a lot of companies assisting them with the preparation or review of interim and year end group and statutory consolidated financial statements in order to ensure that they compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
• SOX Process and Controls implementation – I have performed various SOX implementation projects which included assisting clients to improve their understanding and documentation of controls and business processes from small, medium to large organisation in the following cycles – procure to pay, order to cash, accounting to reporting, treasury, revenue and billing, human resources, fixed assets cycle and payroll.
These projects usually involve the providing assurance to an organisation regarding best practises on governance and compliance to organisational processes and procedures in order to understand how governance, risk, and compliance processes impact on the business, designing controls, creating flowcharts, implementing controls etc.
• Statutory audits – I have been involved from planning to reporting of a large volume of audit and accounting work and I am well-versed in the relevant accounting codification pertaining to issues faced in these circumstances.
I completed a 6 month contract as a Technical Manager at Trustquay and my responsibilities included:
•Being involved in complex accounting and writing judgement papers on Acquisition accounting for new businesses, including transitioning to IFRS, Purchase Price Allocations and balance sheet fair value exercises;
•Preparing judgment papers around complex issues in order to document the rationale for accounting standard interpretations and ensure compliance with accounting standards;
•Preparing technical monthly balance sheet reconciliations including lease obligations, borrowings, goodwill and intangibles, impairment and tax;
•Preparing Group Consolidated annual report and statutory accounts 14 subsidiaries across the Group;
•Collaborating with global external advisors tax advisers to ensure tax returns are accurately completed and submitted on a timely basis for all subsidiaries;
•Leveraging my ESG experience and assisting with ESG reporting to ensure compliance with Strategic reporting requirements;
•Leading and collaborating with external Group auditors and subsidiary auditors during the annual audit process, providing them with necessary documentation and addressing any concerns or findings promptly; and
•Using Business Central, PowerBI and Excel for reporting purposes
As a Transactions Manager within the Assurance team which provided controls assurance, accounting advisory, transaction and support services my responsibilities included:
•Working on clients that are listing on the stock exchange and assisting them with the IPO listing process( premium, standard and dual listing) and IPO readiness ensuring compliance with listing requirements and other regulatory requirements;
•Preparing and/or reviewing Historical Financial Information (HFI) for listing companies;
•Expert on IFRS, US GAAP and UK GAAP reporting standards and conversions within standards;
