Volunteering/Hobbies

Devon Bird of Prey Centre, 2006 -2013.

Volunteer,

Outside of my education I took on a Volunteer role at DBOPC,

At entry level I trained how to care for the birds & grounds through daily maintenance, and quickly enhanced my knowledge in the area.

After a year of working at this level I reached a point of trust and confidence with my manager which prompted her to invest in my development with the birds.

I am proud to have reached a point where I was able to organise my "Flight Team" to run a full 45 minute display in front of 100-200 visitors twice weekly whilst relaying all of my knowledge via a PA system. I have helped run multiple "Experience Days", these included 1 to 1 sessions & educational visits to and from schools & helped bring experiences to all manors of physical and mental inclusivity.

Hobbies:

Sports - Newton Abbot Brewers Baseball, Skiing, Cooking/Baking, Visiting nature attractions (zoos/parks), Model painting/Card games, Photography.
