Being a newly qualified dentist who has recently completed Dental Foundation Training, I have gained valuable experience in a broad range of general dental treatments. During DFT I have significantly developed my clinical, communication, and patient management skills from undergraduate study. This formative year has strengthened my commitment to delivering high quality patient care and reinforced my dedication to continuous professional development.
I am seeking an associate position which enables me to further expand on my clinical experience and fosters learning in a setting that supports professional growth and development.
During my role, I was exposed to and had the opportunity to develop many aspects of my clinical experience. To include, general NHS dentistry, oral surgery, fixed/removal prosthodontics and endodontics. As well as a small portion of private work towards the end of my job role.
During DFT, I organised a community outreach program at a local primary school. Drawing upon my experience organising similar visits at undergraduate level I had the opportunity to educate young children on the importance of oral hygiene through interactive and age-appropriate activities. This experience deepened my passion for preventive dentistry and demonstrated my commitment to promoting lifelong dental health through early education.
