I am a dedicated and motivated medical doctor with a strong background in General Medicine, Gastroenterology, Public Health, and Acute Medicine. After completing extensive clinical and academic training in Egypt, I joined the NHS where I worked as a Medical Registrar. I developed my UK portfolio and successfully secured a National Training Number (NTN) in Geriatric Medicine in the East of England.
I commenced my Geriatrics training in February 2025, and I am currently progressing from ST4 to ST5. I have a strong interest in Stroke Medicine and am preparing to apply for an Out-of-Programme Training (OOPT) opportunity in Stroke. I am actively building a stroke-focused portfolio through participation in TIA and stroke clinics, managing acute stroke emergencies as the medical registrar on call, and undertaking an audit/QIP project within stroke services.
My clinical grounding, research experience, leadership capability, and commitment to high-quality patient care make me well-suited for advanced specialist training roles within the NHS.
I have participated in the ANRS 12332 - HepNile cohort
study by The General Organization for Teaching Hospitals
and Institutes, Cairo (Liver Disease Research Unit) in
collaboration with Institute Pasteur, Paris. The study was
conducted for the evaluation of the "real-life" efficacy and
safety of antiviral treatments including new Direct Acting
Antiviral agents among patients treated for chronic hepatitis
C in three National Treatment Centers in Cairo, Egypt.
My duties included:
• Ensuring that the clinical study protocols are adhered to
and that the clinical study recruitment records are accurately maintained.
• Using the Local Data Management System to identify when new data is required.
• Quality control, checking validity and completeness of all recorded data and reports.
• To track patient activities across different study centers.

investigations, following up on relevant investigations.

dependency unit (HDU).
• I was responsible for ordering and following up relevant
investigations, documentation of medical records and
ensuring the multidisciplinary discharge letters were
completed on time.
• Attended the daily consultant ward round as well as the
weekly inter-disciplinary ward meetings.
• Was a lead participant in running a variety of outpatient
clinics including IBD, HCC and NASH clinics.
• I was responsible for clerking, assessment and admission of emergency medical patients.
• I had a rotation in the Medical ICU.
• Participated in the undergraduate ward-based teaching
and preparation of clinical exams (OSCE).
