Volunteering
I volunteered at the local Primary school when my GCSE's ended to gain some work experience before the Summer.
The work was varied and some of the volunteering roles were:
- PE/Sports - assisting the Sports Coach in PE lessons, working with small groups of children helping with their physical skills and understanding of the different sports we were undertaking.
- Admin - assisting the admin team by receiving deliveries and inventory checking against the purchase order. Allocating received items to different classes/areas and delivering in-house around the school. Made laminated labels/posters for teachers as requested for their classrooms.
- Caretaking - assisting the Caretaker with emptying of bins around the school site. Also, assisted with football pitch maintenance by filling potholes with soil around the grounds.
