As a motivated and hardworking first year mechanical engineering student with experience in organising, managing and working within engineering projects, I stand eager to meaningfully contribute to an engineering firm.
Having consistently secured top grades in mathematics and physics in GCSEs and A-levels and passed many first-year engineering modules with high honours, I have a strong technical understanding of many fundamental engineering principles, along with the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to any new position. I have built upon this experience by designing and building small rockets and motors, giving me an understanding of how to organise an engineering project. From my extensive theatrical experience, I've learnt how to efficiently and persuasively communicate with people both within and outside of my team; the large time commitment has also allowed me to develop effective time-management and multitasking skills.
Performed a supporting role alongside the Royal Shakespeare Company in a theatrical production.
Participated in regular rehearsals, resulting in a smooth, polished performance.
Worked alongside the director and the cast to create and develop several movement sequences.
Disassembled and troubleshot a faulty electrical motor in order to identify the problem.
Conducted tests on a heat sink to identify its efficiency at thermal energy dissipation.
Analysed the data from these tests and processed it into more useful properties.
Efficiently assisted the engineers with completing day-to-day duties.
