Currently, I am an RTT patient pathway analyst at Maidstone and Tunbridge wells NHS, Kent.I provide an integral part of meeting the 18-week referral to treatment target by informing and educating all staff groups across the Trust on the 18 week Referral To Treatment (RTT) and its clock stop and data collection rules to make sure the Implementation of
new weekly processes of data collection across the Trust are done.
I manage Waiting lists and track patients with regular audits of data collection under defined guidelines to ensure data Quality.
I Use internal systems to track patients' pathways through patient tracking lists (PTLs) and carry out validation/correction of patient waiting lists/pathways to ensure accuracy and validate waiting lists, in particular on Patient Administrative System (PAS). I work alongside the Specialty Leads, Admissions Manager, and Service Manager for Outpatients to ensure action plans agreed upon are implemented to meet standards and to monitor and highlight capacity issues, ensuring areas of concern are escalated to the appropriate audience.
To undertake other specialty-specific duties, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, to facilitate the patient pathway, in liaison with the Patient. I have to inform the Manager, General Managers, and the Head of Performance and alert them of any data found which does not meet national data standards. Also reporting unresolved discrepancies/problems or potential breaches of national waiting time and other targets to the Service Managers both internal and external to provide high quality, efficient, and effective patient-based service.
I used to validate clinic outcome correspondence to identify the next stage on the patients’ pathway is understood and actioned. Provide regular statistics to the Service Administrator regarding service capacity. I always ensure the accuracy and security of all paper-based and computerized patient records within my own area by keeping confidentiality.
I also worked as a Stroke data Co-Ordinator in the same trust where I used to create and maintain databases or spreadsheets, as required to support and have been using All Scripts, Sunrise, EDN, Nerve centre and case notes to update the patient electronic database & it's my duty to record all patient data for the Stroke Sentinel National Audit Program (SSNAP) within the target time period to ensure comprehensive information is recorded for all the
patients in the stroke /TIA pathway and to produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports from SSNAP and Local stroke divisions as per the operational manager & to support departmental audits and research & these gave me knowledge of National Patient Access targets.
All these experiences of effectively managing my own workload in a busy office environment in the same trust and experience of working within a data collection or auditing environment made me feel that now I am capable of applying for this post.
I am very efficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel as well which helps me to generate monthly performance reports and flag relevant patients to the clinical team where the team was not aware of the patient & also scheduling outpatient appointments and admissions. All of these helped me to understand Primary Care, GP, and community services and the importance of Understanding patient priorities and performance targets related to appointments and waiting times.
I considered myself a hardworking, reliable, and flexible person and my vast experience makes me suitable to work under pressure and complete my duties in a timely manner. I have good listening and communication skills and the ability to deal with people internally and externally professionally.
My excellent telephone manner helps me work as a Bank team runner ( Admin & Clerical) on Wards, helping the staff handle patient enquires/complaints and customer care.
With all these experiences, I am very confident that I am suitable for this job.
I am always very keen to learn new things and accept new challenges and responsibilities so I believe this post will enhance my skills and enable the trust to use my potential to the maximum.
