  • Reporting Database: Implementation of database to prepare profit and Loss reports by taking in feeds from various mainframe systems into a database and applying various decision tables to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Project manager to achieve the transfer of Assets from one company to another company within West: identified the objectives of the project and planning of resources and tasks to complete the objective .
  • JAN 2002 – JULY 2011 PROJECT MANAGER Working in the Business Strategy group, looking at all projects effecting Finance (internal and external) and the Front Office
  • As a project manager within the group, I am required to perform project appraisal's, prepare budgets for planning stages with management, prepare all the documentation ie: Business case study, requirements document, set up a project plan within Microsoft project and work with the project team to complete the tasks and meet all the milestones set
  • Below are some of the projects I have worked on:
  • Business Process Review projects (9 months): Focusing on various Business Process reviews within Finance and the front office with the primary objective of: Performing the processes efficiently and with transparency.
  • Finance strategy; involved in reviewing the current systems supporting Finance processes in New York, London and Germany (Head office)
  • Intranet: project managing the implementation of the Global and London intranet site
  • Budget process: responsible for entering next year's budgets on Finance projects into the Global Projects database
  • System upgrade: Preparing testing plans for the upgrade of one of the banks mainframe systems and its impact on the Finance department . Co-ordinating the user acceptance testing team and presenting the results back to management
  • Centralisation of Finance / Back office processes: This was a Global project which required centralisation of the Finance & Back office processing functions into London . The locations impacted were, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Warsaw, Budapest, Paris, Milan, Hong King, Singapore and Tokyo. As the Finance project manager i was responsible to ensure that a complete transfer of processes into London from the branches was completed .
  • Reorganise the reporting structure for the investment banking area: rebooking of positions to reflect new structure (including moving of staff) into a new structure . Head Project manager, which required instructing the project team, reporting regularly to the sponsor, preparing documentation, project plans, testing plans etc
  • Rollout of London Finance reporting systems to NY: Implementing the London Finance process / systems into New York branch
  • Agency function: to introduce an Agency area within the bank . The handling of agent fees was handled inconsistently with outstanding receivables.
  • SAP CO implementation; using SAP for Management reporting Globally . I worked with SAP team in Germany for 6 months to specify the requirements and implement the system in London and Asia
  • Supporting the COO of the London Branch
  • Involved in various tasks including the sale of subsidiaries
  • Other Front office projects- from reviewing Cross selling strategy within the bank, reorganisation of front office businesses and supporting the front office where required

  • Involved in a project to clear up the outstanding receivables / payables on the balance sheet
  • Other ad-hoc duties; Presenting information in excel spreadsheets and word documents for the head of the area
  • FEB 1995 – SEPT 1996 (19 months) ASSISTANT PRODUCT ACCOUNTANT Asset swaps area- I worked for the Asset swaps trading desk, in the Finance department Daily Profit and Loss reports for the traders
  • This included extracting information from the Banks trading systems and compiling reports and providing commentaries to explain the financial results
  • The production of Management accounts – monthly
  • Involved reconciling the P/L reported from the trading systems, to the Banks general ledger
  • The preparation of monthly Balance sheet reconciliation reports
  • Involved substantiating the balance sheet accounts for the Asset swaps business
  • Managing Foreign currency exposure and risk: providing foreign currency reports to the traders, Asset swaps area: continued to perform a supervisory role for the above functions, and began to get involved in various projects Involved in designing (the specification stage) of an access database for the Asset swaps business Involved with various changes to the settlements and funding (treasury) processes
  • Responsible for automating the Daily / Monthly profit and loss production and the balance sheet substantiation processes
  • SEPT 1996 – MAR 1997 (6 months) ASSISTANT PRODUCT ACCOUNTANT General Ledger replacement project: Involved in the implementation of the replacement of the banks general ledger system
  • A member of the User acceptance testing team, representing the Finance department
  • MAR 1997 – DEC 1997 (9 months) Supervisor for the Daily/ Monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet production
  • Also participated in various projects My main focus during this period was to clean up the Balance sheet for the Asset swaps area
