• Leading the North Museums team (including all aspects of museums from Museum Development - DCMS museums at risk register, to Museums Tax relief, to National Portfolio Organisations, to Acceptance in Lieu etc)

I co-own a small rare breed farm with my husband. We run a small flock of rare breed sheep which we keep as a fibre only flock.

We manage an online wool and fibre shop, to promote the qualities of British wool.

The farm has provided us with the opportunity to appear on Country File, various local news programmes as a local producer. Various radio shows and in numerous newspapers and magazines. Also featuring in a Netflix documentary on female shepherds.

• Responsible for the overall running of 3 museums: Leeds Industrial Museums - Thwaite Mills Watermill and Leeds City Museum.

Achievements included:

• Awarded Leader of the Year award in 2012 - top award in the council
• Raised over £1.2m to transform both working mills back into working order
• Achieved numerous awards for community gardens, education work, achieving income targets, training front of house staff, access etc
• Worked on developing new exhibition spaces and programmes
• Developed partnerships with other museums e.g. the British Museum which led to the Egyptian exhibition at the City Museum
• Lead on policy development work
• Lead on media work and working with politicians

Working freelance in the music industry - work included :

• Working with Ken Russel on a film project with a band on a burlesque show
• Running the band shop for a short while
• Organising poetry gigs (member of the band was also a published poet)
• Grant applications
• Curating 5 large scale touring exhibitions of the bands art work including album covers and costumes
• Singing
• Planning tours / organising charity gigs

• Worked with all artists in the open show to curate their work (20 artists)
• Coordinated the install process with the technical team
• Managed the marketing, PR and comm's for the show
• Managed all the sales and commission for the show
• The show sold over 70% of the works, and was the best selling show at that point in their open programme

• Responsible for leading on Access and Audience Development advise across Yorkshire for museums, libraries and archives.
• Advising government office on Access and Audience Development for Museums and best practice.
• Leading on training for museums, in Access and Audience Development.
• Grant giving to museums.
• Working with the Home Office on the Invest to Save Programme
• Working as a Judge on the Jodi Awards for Access
• Working with strategic partners in the sector to make the case for Access and Audience Development needs in museums.
