Main roles & responsibilities:

• Conducting remote consultations for patients within a weight management service, assessing suitability for pharmacological treatment.
• Prescribing and managing medications safely in line with clinical guidelines and individual patient needs.
• Assessing patients with co-existing mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression) and adapting prescribing accordingly.
• Conducting structured follow-up consultations to monitor treatment response, side effects and adherence.
• Providing patient education to support behavioural change and long-term health outcomes.
• Working within a multidisciplinary digital healthcare environment, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant clinical documentation in line with regulatory standards.

• Accountable for clinical governance, ensuring full compliance with GPhC standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements to maintain safe, effective practice.
• Leading and manage all pharmacy operations, including rota planning, team performance, and service delivery, driving efficiency and consistently high standards of patient care.
• Receiving prescriptions and checking these against medical histories, safeguarding patient health and safety.
• Identifying and responding to red flag symptoms and safeguarding concerns, escalating to GPs or crisis services where required
• Providing counselling on psychiatric medications, including side effect management and adherence support.
• Liaising with doctors to develop and prescribe bespoke patient medication plans.
• Leading equitable, compliant patient-centred pharmacy services including a travel vaccine and ear microsuction clinic.
• Supplying prescription-only medication for minor ailments to patients under PGD's.

• How to clinically screen drug charts on the ward and in dispensary and read patient notes on the ward

• Observed how sterile and non-sterile manufacturing processes take place

Main roles & responsibilities:

• Completed a two week summer placement in August 2016 (Brompton Road)
• Advised customers on OTC medication after consulting with them and checking with the pharmacist in charge
• Ensured the shop floorwas neat and tidy at all times

• Helped to prepare dosset boxes for patients which were then checked by the pharmacist
