I am a dedicated second year LLB Law (Hons) student. I have always felt a strong sense of justice and the need to speak up and defend those in need when necessary, consequently law is an area I feel very passionate about given it's place in today's ever-changing society.
Being given the role of Head of House during school required me to support others and be able to mediate and resolve difficult situations. Furthermore, five years of working in hospitality has really developed my customer service skills and improved my team-working skills.
I often spend my free time working in a nursery, this has shaped my values of patience, empathy, teamwork, adaptability, respect, and a commitment to joy. These values continue to guide my interactions, decisions, and approach to both personal and professional endeavours.
Furthermore, five years of working in hospitality has really enhanced my customer service skills and improved my team-working skills. This experience has also increased my ability to communicate well to others as it’s something I’m very familiar with.
Receiving the role of Head of House:
In recognition of my leadership skills, I was appointed Head of house; a role requiring me to support others in need of help or advice, mediate and resolve difficult situations whilst also organising our house events and further charity events. This increased my confidence especially when talking to a large number of students, parents and staff, including the Governors.
Sports leadership qualification:
I planned and led sports sessions for children including warmups, drills, cool downs which I was then assessed on.
Achieved the rank of NCO in CCF:
I volunteered for three hours every Friday as an NCO to younger army cadets aspiring to be NCOs in the Wellingborough School Combined Cadet Force.
