Legal Work Experience

  • 2021-09-18, Gray’s Inn University- Attended Gray’s Inn University Advocacy Day. I improved my advocacy skills. Had the opportunity to participate in mock trials.


  • Manchester Crown Court Observer - By watching lawyers and judges in action, gained first-hand knowledge of how legal professionals advocate for their clients. Had the opportunity to see how they present arguments, cross examine witnesses, and handle procedural matters.

     - Gave me a better understanding of how legal rules are applied in practice.


  • 24thNovember to Friday, 26th November 2021- I was granted a mini Pupillage at St John’s Buildings Chambers. This was an unbelievable experience where I gained insight into the type of work barristers do within specific practice area

    - Being able to observe barristers daily routine helped me understand the advantages and challenges of a legal career. 


  • From 21st November - 4th December 2022- I had a work experience at Mary Monson Solicitors- Where I had the opportunity to work with Liam Kotrie one of the directors of the Firm, in multiple criminal trials.

     - I learned how to research case law, statues and legal precedents which is an essential skill for building strong legal arguments. 

      - By observing how solicitors handle ethical dilemmas and maintain professional conduct was invaluable.

       - Helped improving my time managing skills has I had to work under tight deadlines. 


  • Pro Bono provision - During the month of December 2022 I Volunteer with the Family Law Advice Clinic at The University of Law


  • October 2023 I had the opportunity to work with Mrs. Rachel Oakdene from 7 Harrington St Chambers in Liverpool, on sexual Assault case in Chester.

       - By Shadowing in this case I had the opportunity to observe how barristers prepare for cases I learned about legal research, evidence gathering and strategy development. 

     - Under her guidance I had the chance to interact with the client which was a great opportunity for me to develop my communications skills and empathy towards our client. 

     - This experience helped me further develop my knowledge in analysing complex legal issues, make decisions and adapt to unexpected situations.
