Currently working in supported housing accommodation with homeless young people. The job involves lone working providing emotional, practical and social support to help them stabilize their lives, access relevant services and work toward long term independence in work or education, managing their own housing tenancy out in the community. Although challenging on times dealing with young people from diverse backgrounds often with complex needs I help create personalized support plans with the young people, maintain accurate case notes, risk assessments and comply with safeguarding policies, GDPR and health and safety regulations.
Working at the local leisure centre teaching people of all ages and skill levels how to swim, ranging from complete beginners to coaching advanced swimmers. Planning and delivering structured swimming lessons on a weekly basis I taught fundamental skills as well as the various swimming strokes, assessing students abilities and progress whilst providing constructive feedback, always ensuring a safe and positive environment for students in and around the water. I also had to enforce pool rules and monitor behaviour to prevent accidents. Health and Safety training including CPR and first aid up to date to be able to respond effectively and efficiently in an emergency when needed.
As a fire watcher I played a critical safety role whilst hot work was carried out on a dangerous chemical plant. The main responsibilities of my role was to monitor and respond to potential fire hazards, ensuring that any fire is detected and extinguished immediately before it could spread.
Working at Club Greece I specialized in presenting and selling vacation ownership packages to prospective clients through consultative sales techniques. My key skills were persuasive communication, needs assessments, sales closing, product knowledge and objection handling.
This was a fast paced position in a busy haulage company, overseeing the scheduling, routing and dispatch of vehicles for national and international deliveries and collection. Required excellent co-ordination with drivers, clients and warehouse teams ensuring timely and efficient movement of freight often under immense pressure.
