  • I was a registered Nurse for nine years in the Philippines before I came over to the United Kingdom to be with my wife who came here a year later.
  • I was a staff nurse in the Neurosurgery ward and HDU for 2 years, and a staff nurse in Medical and Surgical ICU / Post Anaesthesia Care Unit for three years in the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Centre prior to my departure.
  • The Armed Forces of the Philippines is a 1300 bedded institution who cares for all military personnel and their dependents. Have looked after patients - who were battle casualties by the conflict in Mindanao against the government and Muslim Mindanao insurgents. Prior to joining AFPMC, I used to be a senior nurse in Accident and Emergency for four years in St. Claire Medical Centre in Makati, Philippines.
  • I came here on March 2003 to join my wife as her dependent. And started working as a Health Care assistant in the Bank Office. I was offered an adaption course, and I successfully passed it. I was given a job in Peterborough district Hospital in the haematology and Oncology ward/clinic where I completed the chemotherapy training module and I am allowed to administer all kinds of chemotherapy drugs. And handle PICC line, Hickman Line and Portacath.
  • I moved to London when my mother passed away from Chondrosarcoma, a very rare form of cancer that is non-treatable by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I was devastated by her death, and I was able to work in orthopaedic, head and neck, plastics, neurosurgery ward at Imperial College NHS Trust Hospital before joining the agency in 2014.
  • Administered patient medications to improve health outcomes.
  • Developed individualised care plans for improved patient experience.
  • Ensured strict adherence to infection control protocols, maintaining a safe environment for patients.
  • Performed nursing procedures, enhancing patient comfort and wellbeing.
