Summary

I have over 25 years' experience working wiTh young people and adults, children and families. I currently run my own business lasting-changes.co.uk where i work as a self employed accredited Mental health and wellbeing coach, ive worked as a Mental Health Crisis worker (acute trauma), Head of Mental Health Programme Facilitator, Self Management Facilitator, within the NHS Band 4, Charity Sector, or Social care, and as a primary school teaching assistant in Bristol and a SENCO support role. These roles involved running and facilitating mental and physical health Programmes of up to 20 people, and delivering these throughout Bristol and Gloucestershire, I am also a qualified Wellbeing and Life Coach Accredited and have worked 1-1 with survivors of trauma and patients living with Mental Illness of all kinds, victims of trauma and abuse, and as a specialist teaching assistant with complex needs in School settings. Im qualified to NVQ level 3, Safeguarding Level 4, up to date with NHS, and experienced in GDPR in all sectors. t All of these roles have allowed me to work patients, adult, young people and children, experiencing trauma, addictions, along with supporting disabled, disadvantaged, or terminally ill children as well as those experiencing many safeguarding issues, and understanding grief.

As expected these roles needed me to manage large caseloads, work collaboratively with primary, secondary and other social and health professionals, triage, and make necessary referrals, with a multi agency, collaborative working environment.

I find all of these roles, extremely rewarding and enjoy the challenges it brings, in the past 20 years in particular the last 8 years I have also gained a vast experience and interest in supporting people with mental and physical needs find ways of managing these feelings and thoughts and learning ways and writing pathways of "living well and better". I have worked very closely in a multi-agency forum, working with social workers, police, education, and health, courts, housing and immigration, as an advocacy role as well as a support worker. I have a strong working knowledge of managing behaviors and daily I'm able to demonstrate mature and experienced communication skills, as well as conflict resolution skills that are used daily.

I have managed a small team and a team of volunteers using my management skills and carry out regular staff supervisions. I triage referrals and produce outcome reports for funding or CCG purposes. I like to support people step by step, through trust building and resilience awareness skills. I have good knowledge of many IT systems, NHS Rio, System One and Charity based Office programs. Highly motivated team player with passion for helping others. Possesses excellent organizational and communication skills and provides individualized assistance and support. Experienced in delivering guidance and education on various topics such as academics, behavior management and technology. Enthusiastic Teaching assistant experienced in providing staff support in educational or childcare environments. Worked with children individually and in small groups while providing basic reading, writing and math instruction and other education-related activities as assigned. Compassionate individual with established experience providing support to students. Demonstrated ability to create lesson plans and assess student progress.

  • I work as a Family Support Worker for the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, supporting adults, young people and children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses and their families, I work with up to 30 families at one time currently covering the Bristol and surrounding area. I provide emotional practical and bereavement support to the whole family though these difficult times.

  • This role involves me working and having a great deal of interest and awareness of mental health and I have supported over 60 individuals experiencing some kind of mental health including substance abuse, suicide attempts, physical abuse leading to long term mental health needs, bipolar disorders, generalized anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, social anxiety disorders, my support has been sometimes vital in identifying a need that has

Current Aims

I have over 25 years experience working with in various roles and settings, I currently work part time from home running my own Mental health wellbeing coaching business but wish to increase hours by taling on a part time role within a similar sector,  I am qualified at Level 3 Diploma level teaching, Band 4 NHS, Level 4 safeguarding children and adults. And my current accreditation is with AC coaching approved also with the NHS.
