Summary

Hi, I'm Nicky and I thoroughly love working with young people!

I could go on about how effective I am at communicating, listening, organising my time or my ability to manage conflict but that's a little boring. I am all of those things and more. Yes, I am a proactive deputy manager and can juggle supporting the team, liaising with professionals whilst completing care plans, but I love nothing more than working with the young people and exploring their world. For the last three years, I have worked with looked after children, in a residential setting with young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex medical needs. Their world isn't like ours and can be a daunting place, but I feel that I support them, advocate for them and hopefully bring them as much joy as they do me.
