Summary

I am a confident person with a healthy outlook on life. Within my professional life, I approach every role with passion and professionalism. I have recently qualified as a nurse, gaining an MSc in pre-reg nursing. I have been proactive in my academic studies and clinical placements. I have developed my academic, communication and leadership skills throughout the two years of the course. Therefore, applying outstanding rapport-building skills to connect with service users and the general public. I am a computer-literate and organised individual with an understanding of person-centred care. During 2017 and 2022, I took a career break to focus on and support my son, who has ADHD. Over the course of those five years, I felt I was at a point where I could return to my career, so I returned to University to achieve a BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care, which gave me the confidence and competency to work alongside staff members with the knowledge I had attained. During my 15 years of experience in health care, I gained considerable clinical skills ranging from general day-to-day patient care, phlebotomy, and mental health and learning disability care. My passion is working within the healthcare sector. The rewards of seeing a patient improve because of my help and support give me the motivation I need in life. I am compassionate towards family members and patients in all circumstances, regardless of whether their needs are minor or severe. My experience in the mental health sector includes working with acute patients and older individuals, and my personal experience with my son. I have excellent communication skills and confidence, and I can connect with patients, make them feel comfortable, and provide the best individual support. Other skills I have gained during my time in education and working for the NHS, and the private sector include: time management and organisational skills, punctuality and attendance being of utmost importance to me. As someone with Autism, ADHD and an acquired brain injury, I have developed excellent self-awareness and effective organisational strategies. These experiences have strengthened my attention to detail, conscientious approach, resilience, and commitment to completing work safely and accurately. I have a full UK clean driving licence to comply with this position.
