Events Coordinator

  • I took on the role of, , this includes dealing with members and non-members to arrange parties and events
  • I have planned many events such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, engagement parties, awards evenings and charity quiz events
  • In this role I liaise with other professionals including Dj's, caterers, photographers, doormen to make sure the evening runs smoothly
  • I also dress and decorate the venue to suit to the clients requirements and am in charge with staffing the event and ordering the alcohol
  • I am also available on the evening to make sure everything goes to plan and the client's needs are met
  • In 2017 there was a total of 35 parties / events at Roko ,in 2016 we only held one or two a year, I believe this is because I was able to concentrate and dedicate my time fully to the role.

Administration and Duty Manager

  • Greeting members as they come to the club at reception, booking exercise classes either in person or over the phone
  • Liaising with the Sales Team, Personal Trainers and Beauty Therapists
  • Dealing with payments and processing through the till using MRM, the in - house computer system as the Membership Administration Manager
  • Primarily dealing with members who have given their notice to cancel their membership
  • This involves acting upon the cancellations, adding to a spreadsheet, dealing with the direct debits so no further payments are collected and keeping in contact with the member throughout the notice period either by telephone, email or in person
  • My role as a duty manager involves the club to open or close the club, regular pool checks and tests, to be available within every department should they need assistance
  • Cashing up and balancing all tills at the end of the shift or at the end of the day.
