Dedicated and experienced Firefighter with over 18 year's service with SFRS. Prior to this I served with the Royal Air Force, also within the Firefighter role. Over the last several years I have been highly successful in creating and supporting high performing teams and individuals in both an operational and prevention-based role. I am a transformational leader, focused on inspiring and motivating teams to deliver positive outcomes, while developing colleagues to move beyond their own perceived capabilities and reach their full potential. I successfully build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with a diverse range of individuals, teams and functions across the service, and equally with a wide variety of multi-agency partners. All in pursuit of the service's strategic goals and improved local outcomes for our communities. I am ready and fully committed to continue developing further in the Station Commander role and successfully serve as a modern public sector leader in a Fire and Rescue Service for the people of Scotland.
