Investing with two partners in 2011 with a unique, innovative concept for the rapid design, manufacture and delivery of bespoke hazardous area steel electrical enclosures, cabinets and specialised electrical products for sale directly into the oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, nuclear, corrosion, defence, transport, construction and heavy industries. Building a client base from zero to a highly successful SME within a few years my responsibilities included but were not limited to the following:-

  • Increased sales volume by adding 300+ accounts in the UK and globally within three years.
  • Negotiated prices, terms of sale and service agreements.
  • Met with an average of 25-50 clients per week consistently, resulting in near perfect client retention.
  • Conducted site visits for certification testing, wrote and performed hazardous area training seminars, supported other company's sale staff in hazardous area training.
  • Oversaw sales forecasting, goal setting and performance reporting for all accounts.

Using and extensive base of past contacts, industry experience and knowledge, I bought in many large contractors for introduction to the group and exceeded all sales expectations within a short period of time. Also trained, presented seminars and with joint visits with other sales managers helped to increase individual and team sales expectations. Other duties included:-

  • Organised joint sales calls with current customers and outside vendors.
