
My background in STEM has prepared me for work that requires a methodical and impartial approach. It Allows me to be able to review large amounts of information and pick out the key points required for my purpose while remaining unbiased and presenting only the facts of the matter to my intended audience
This position was to gain work experience while applying for university with UCAS.
In this short-term position I was responsible for designing a website in order to sort and categorise images by type, file size and relevance to the theoretical product I was tasked with designing for my coursework
In this role I undertook volunteer work as part of my duke of Edinburgh award requirements. While I did not finish My Duke of Edinburgh award due to the Covid - 19 Pandemic I continued to volunteer at my local Marie Curie for 3 years.
I was responsible for the intake of stock as well as sorting, ensuring everything was properly documented, labelled and sorted in line with guidance from more senior members of staff. I also dealt with customers face to face while operating the till and met people from all different walks of life.
Problem solving - During my time studying for my masters of science I have become adept at solving complex and multi-faceted problems that do not have a clear solution I am able to leverage my skills in parsing large volumes of data in order to pick out key information that I can then use to put my position on a topic forward in a clear and intelligent manner
Multi-tasking - I am able to balance several, vastly different tasks at once I am able to effectively manage my time in order to complete tasks and projects that do not share deadlines I am able to do this without compromising the quality of any one piece of work in favour of the others
Communication skills - I am adept at being able to communicate my viewpoint in a respectful and clear manner I am able to take on other points of view and consider them, allowing me to find any gaps in my own reasoning and broaden my perspective on a topic
