  • Provided training to junior engineers, leading to enhanced team performance.
  • Assisted crews on a day to day basis which could include assistance with agreeing possible routes for the customers installation, fixing blocked or damaged parts of the network or even just general coaching for those that needed.
  • I worked closely with the manager often assisting by uptaking his roles on days of their absence or even helping come up with new solutions for on the day issues.
  • I gained valuable experience getting my IPAF and being trained to use the hoist for installs of greater height. Aswell as being flat roof and long ladder trained. I was beginning my splicing training before leaving the company.
  • This role entailed a lot of problem solving issues often having to come up with new solutions which could help a customer in receiving their installation or finding different ways of fixing different on the day issues which could be found on the network.
  • As I was supporting each crew I became a valuable member of the team and improved my ability to help each person depending on their skill level.

Other Competencies

I regularly play football in my spare time, taking any opportunity I can to play or watch football. Football is a massive part of my life however, as well as football I enjoy maintaining my physical fitness and keep myself active by running, swimming and playing squash regularly. By taking part in different sports it has helped me build my social and communication skills with others. As well as sports, I have recently begun to undertake Spanish lessons in my spare time. I have always wanted to learn a different language and found this a great way to engage my brain after full time education. As well as learning a language I am currently learning basic coding online and wish to progress this learning.

Awards

Special Achievements-I was a house captain in my final year in school which involved organising events and assembly’s within school. I also took part in a programme called the leadership awards in which I learned the importance of leadership finishing the course in which I achieved an SCQF level 5. Finally, I have taken part in the saltire awards which aims to achieve as much volunteering as possible, in which I managed to achieve over 50 hours of voluntary work. During my time at University I have also undertaken placement which has involved coaching different age groups of children through active schools where we would help coach basic skills to younger groups and harder more complex abilities to older year groups.

Additional Information

I enjoy playing any kind of sport but mainly play football . I have been attempting to learn Spanish when I have spare time. I enjoy reading and any form of physical activity to help improve my mental and physical well being.
