
Throughout years of employment experience, my employment have adapted and picked up a large variety of skills that are intended to both be utilised and expanded in the future. I am an experienced individual in various fields, demonstrating dedication and diligence throughout not just education but my employment too. I am an enthusiastic worker, even at times of high stress and large workload, with my extensive experience in working with I.T and a consistent large workload wherever I have been employed, I am a person who thrives under pressure and provides a positive attitude to the work space. As well as this, I have an excellent reputation throughout my employment for over-achieving and being an adaptable individual to new situations that may daunt others. I have a track record in collaborative work and independent work alike, with a brilliant sense for organisation and managing multiple tasks at once, creating quality work and a friendly face who is prepared to assist wherever possible.
During my time at Hallam Legal Advice Centre, I was responsible for a variety of equally important yet equally different tasks. I was selected to be apart of the criminal case department with a solicitor as my supervisor. It was an experience that fueled my want to work more with vulnerable people and provide them with a friendly face and support wherever possible.
My responsibilities on the regular day included;
- Handling confidential client information and case files.
- Researching information relevant to assisting a client.
- Scheduling and leading in-person and over the phone meetings between myself and the client.
- Interacting with vulnerable people, including individuals with mental and physical illnesses as well as individuals with criminal history.
- Communicating with my supervisor as well as other co-workers to create a team dynamic when working on difficult cases.
- Writing emails, letters etc. to clients and other relevant parties in a case.
- Ensure a welcoming, friendly and supportive atmosphere for both clients and other co-workers.
- Always delivering tasks before or upon their deadline while keeping them to the highest quality.
- Demonstrating flexibility when considering work hours and willingness to stay later to ensure all work was completed.
My employment during Sheaf Island Weatherspoons was one of the key places of employment where my skill of stress management and embracing a team dynamic truly evolved. During my time as Kitchen staff, I was in charge of a variety of stations dependent on the day which allowed a variety of skills to be put into use day into day.
My responsibilities within the kitchen were as follows;
- Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines were met with to the highest standard.
- Memorising each item off of the menu to efficiently and effectively create the dish in a respectable time for the customer.
- Able to regulate stress and emotions in times of business.
- Ensuring deliveries were handled and delivered correctly.
- Multi-tasking stations or specific jobs in order to ensure efficiency and kitchen flow.
- Keeping a clean and organised workspace to demonstrate preparation for any task.
- Independently manage the kitchen and orders in order to allow co-workers to take their assigned breaks.
- Carrying out regular cleanliness tasks throughout the duration of the shift.
- Willingness to call in if there was any under-staffing within the kitchen.
- Communicating with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure the shift was as smooth as possible.
- Ensuring that when put on an opening or closing shift everything was done effectively and was prepared for the following shift changes.
- Operated specialised kitchen equipment and ensuring health and safety protocols were met.
During my years at DJSresearch, I learned both independent skills as well as team-based employment skills that greatly benefited my future employment. I also utilised important I.T skills and how to navigate various different software applications to provide the highest quality of results in my work while strictly adhering to GDPR regulations. During my employment here, I worked both at home and within the office, accumulating the experience of being able to work effectively without supervision and just as well under observation.
My responsibilities throughout my work as a Junior Data Analyst included the following:
- Coding comprehensive and effective surveys in order to collect the data.
- Communicating between other colleagues and ensuring both them and management were aware of processes/on the same page.
- Creating detailed and informative surveys to provide the best results possible upon sending them out.
- Entering physical data into coding software accurately and efficiently.
- Learning and adapting to new software provided by the company as well as more regular used software such as Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
- The ability to Hybrid work, ensuring that despite being at home, all work is completed to the best of my ability.
- Upholding strict GDPR regulations while handling personal and private customer data.
- Flexibility and the ability to work overtime when required to in order to meet deadlines.
- Handling large workloads and multi-tasking efficiently in order to achieve all work done by respective deadlines.

Despite this being a voluntary position, the time spent under employment of Glen Jakes Riding School was incredibly valuable. I learned a variety of skills while working through my responsibilities here, including yet not limited to interacting with vulnerable people and understanding and following Animal Safety Guidelines as well as Health and Safety Protocols.
My responsibilities at Glen Jakes Riding School Included;
- Interacting and taking care of young, vulnerable individuals while on horseback.
- Ensuring that customers were entirely safe throughout their experience, upholding Health and Safety Guidelines on the yard and communicating efficiently with said customers.
- Conducting regular checks throughout the day on each horse and ensuring their well-being.
- Taking on a multitude of tasks on the yard to be completed with efficiency, such as (yet not limited to), interacting and assisting customers, cleaning the yard, cleaning tack in line with Animal Safety Guidelines as well as Health and Safety Guidelines and routinely turning out horses into the fields.
- Utilised important problem-solving skills when unexpected circumstances (such as horses escaping/a rider falling) have occurred.
- Offered a comforting and welcoming personality to nervous riders and animals alike.
- The ability to manage stress and uncomfortable workloads while completing a variety of jobs within the yard.
