I joined Scania back in 2015 and recently celebrated 10 years at Scania.
Over the years as a Parts advisor, I have expanded my knowledge beyond just being a “parts Advisor”. Starting with reading Multi/WIO workshop manual and understanding, then implementing those work procedures to increase parts and labour sales.
Under former Managers Nigel Champion and Bruce Candy, allowing me into daily meeting and showing me other Scania Processes outside of the parts department. I now have very good understanding and knowledge of the service and invoicing, allowing me to produce estimates for customer and internally for RAR and Warranty Jobs. As well producing quotes for New and Sales team for any auxiliary work, particularly Wet kits/Light bars etc...
I produce FRAS case not just for parts related issues but also for warranty and technical questions. I advise technician to make sure they have corrected images for any FRAS/Warranty Cases and to make sure the write up on job cards is clear and follows R&M, Warranty guidelines.
I covered the Workshop team leader previously for 4 to 6 weeks when the current leader was off sick. I found the job really engaging and started to appreciate the role and increased my knowledge of health and safety and started to build good working relationship with customers and technicians.
Recently, I was part of the Scania Bridgwater Top team, where we finished 4th.
