Summary

A highly experienced and professionally respected police officer with over 35 years of distinguished service in the Metropolitan Police Service, including more than 20 years as a specialist dog handler. I bring a rare combination of frontline operational expertise, specialist search leadership, and compassionate victim support. From public order deployment to homicide suspect apprehension, from marine body recovery to high-security VIP event searches, I’ve consistently delivered results in some of the most complex and high-pressure policing environments.

Meticulous and methodical, I am a perfectionist by instinct, ensuring every statement, case file, and deployment plan is delivered to the highest standard. I don’t tolerate ambiguity and believe in clear communication and accountability, whether mentoring new officers, giving talks to stakeholders or leading specialist search teams. I’m assertive when required, but grounded in empathy, equally capable of handling dangerous animals in crisis as I am listening to victims of serious crime.

Motivated by service, results, and doing the job right, I now seek to transfer my depth of operational, leadership and community engagement experience into a new civilian role where I can continue to add meaningful value. Having spent a significant part of my service on single crewed patrol across London and Surrey, I am comfortable working alone and unsupervised. Team working has also gone hand in hand where required and I can lead or learn where required without issue.
