
With over 3 years working in a hospital microbiology lab and an academic background within Biomedical Science, I have extensive experience in microbial culturing, molecular techniques, and data interpretation. I am currently studying MSc Medical Microbiology to build on my expertise in the field. My passion for microbiology and experience in both the NHS and research industry laboratories has led me to apply for this position to enhance my scientific credibility.
• Routine laboratory tasks from specimen processing and culturing to using automated analysers such as BD kiestra, Sysmex Urinalysis, Cepheid, Biofire, Bactec Blood Culture.

• Checking in patients with registered testing appointments and administering the Nasopharyngeal/Oropharyngeal Swab for Covid testing whilst also addressing any issues with the procedure and time period for results.
• Assisted with the flow of patients arriving in store for testing and educating patients on the process and requirement for travel.
