Either working behind the bar or in Ben and Jerry’s, I was predominantly serving customers, but I also had to maintain a clean and fully stocked workplace. I gained experience in customer service, as well as working in a team with colleagues, particularly in high demand situations when the park was busy. Maintaining the workplace taught me the importance of routine and structured management of tasks.
My responsibilities included working at the till, filling the shelves and changing labels, and responding to questions from customers. I gained ample experience and knowledge of customer service and even selling customers additional items. Working on the shop floor I learned about familiarising myself with products, and the importance of labels being correct and neat. Working as a team was very crucial, and communicating with my colleagues was essential to guaranteeing efficiency while dealing with customers.
