I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, currently looking to commence my professional career in the United Kingdom. I have gained experience in working with children at the primary and secondary school level in India, and am keen on learning new skills and developing my knowledge.
I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science which I completed in 2014 at Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab, India. I have excellent computer skills and am confident operating Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. I can easily and efficiently design and manipulate spreadsheets and add functions and macros to analyse the data.
After my degree, I worked as a full-time computer technology teacher, in a secondary school in Punjab, India.
I also took the opportunity of carrying out one to one and group based home tuitions to further help children from the school in which I was teaching as-well as other schools in our district. I feel that this allowed my to further understand child psychology and each individual child's motivations and restrictions.
My primary job as a Computer Sciences teacher has allowed me to demonstrate that I am a very dedicated, organised and caring individual and ensured I created a challenging, fun, and safe environment for children.
Prior to teaching I was working as a School Administrator providing reliable support to teaching and administration teams. Communicated clearly and professionally to maintain school values throughout staff, student and guest interactions.
I am very experienced in multitasking with classroom and office duties and have successfully managed to prioritise my time and workload to ensure I effectively completed my class and office work.
Although I have gained work experience in India, I feel I have a strong foundation of computer knowledge and am well equipped in adapting to any new environment and challenges.
I am currently working as an exam invigilator at Bablake School, and believe I have enhanced my organisational skills by ensuring the examination runs smoothly by ensuring exam papers are distributed and collected in a timely manner and providing exam materials to students.
I enjoy working independently as well as with other colleagues and in my previous job I particularly enjoyed working with my team organising school events and trips and finding ways to improve the school curriculum and facilities.
I have great interpersonal skills and can fluently communicate in English, Punjabi and Hindi and feel I can effectively interact with my team members and direct them to the correct port and assist in solving their general queries to the best of my ability.
