Nathan Scarborough

This was a brief summer job where I worked as part of a team constructing agricultural chicken sheds, undertaking a range of manual labour tasks. Assisted with building, material handling, and preparation while following health and safety procedures. Developed strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time-management skills, and demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic while carrying out physically demanding work.

Worked full-time as a stockperson on a broiler chicken farm, taking responsibility for the daily care and welfare of poultry. Duties included monitoring bird health and behaviour, maintaining feeding and watering systems, carrying out cleaning and housekeeping tasks, and ensuring high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare. Worked independently and as part of a team, managed physically demanding tasks, and demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict schedules.
