  • Load the furnace with Anti role bars
  • Make sure the bar reach the correct heat temperature in the furnace before they move out of the furnace
  • Use meatel tongs to handle the hot bars when moving them from the furnace to the bending press to be bent
  • After the bar has been bent to the correct dimensions of the ARB drawings would then be check for rock an eye twist before been put in the quensh tank to cool down
  • Once bars have cooled they would be put in to the temper for heat treatment
  • After heat treatment the bars would be tested for the strength to see if there soft or hard by doing a Brinell test
  • If the Brinell test was in tolerance would then try the bar in to a jig to see if it fit in an pins up correctly before put on a rack then moved on to painting
  • Used press to correct the bars if they was wide or narrow when trying in the jig
  • Monitored the fitting, burning, and welding processes.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
