I completed work experience at the Central Criminal Court (Old Bailey) in London, where I observed a range of hearings and trials, including high-profile criminal cases, gaining valuable insight into courtroom advocacy, judicial decision-making, and the operation of one of the UK's most prominent courts. During my placement, I met with key members of the court, including the Head of Operations and His Honour Judge Nigel Lickley KC, which broadened my understanding of judicial roles, court administration, and the diverse career paths within the legal profession. (remove) also spent time with the Witness Service, learning how they support vulnerable witnesses throughout the trial process, which strengthened my appreciation of the human impact of the justice system and the importance of ensuring access to justice for all participants.
I had the valuable opportunity to spend time with Ijeoma Omambala KC, who provided me with insight into the practice of employment law and the wider legal profession. Through her guidance and mentorship, I gained a deeper understanding of employment law issues, legal reasoning, and the responsibilities of advocates in this field. This experience enhanced my appreciation of the practical application of legal principles and further strengthened my interest in pursuing a legal career.
Through my work with Indeed Flex, I demonstrated adaptability and a strong work ethic by successfully undertaking a variety of roles across diverse environments, including Wembley Stadium, hotels, conference venues, festivals, and sporting events. These experiences strengthened my communication, teamwork, and time-management skills, as I consistently delivered high-quality work under pressure and adapted quickly to new responsibilities. My commitment and performance have been recognised through a 5-star rating on Indeed Flex, based on feedback from employers and venue managers.
