As accounts office manager, I prepare the prepayments, accruals, fixed asset register, and all other journals before collating the monthly accounts.
I control all ledgers and manage the weekly payroll.
I supervise a team of four accounts staff.
I also oversee the purchasing department, making sure purchases are carried out in the correct procedure and signed off as quickly as possible.
Cashbook and petty cash spreadsheets are updated by me, so I can see exactly what is going on.
I prepare the tax, NI, and VAT returns.
On a weekly basis, I submit a cash flow forecast to head office.
When required I produce ad hoc reports for analysis.
