The Hill Group, London - Work Experience - September 2026

Selected to take part in The Hill Group’s Women in Construction work experience programme from 7–11 September 2026.

The Social Value team introduced us to the opportunities available to women within the construction industry. The week consisted of presentations from keynote speakers, team-building tasks and practical activities. As part of the team-building activities, we developed a sustainable building project and community centre development, which we then presented to the team.

We also took part in a Health & Safety quiz and a site visit, giving us a greater insight into the different areas of construction and the importance of Health & Safety on site.

At the end of the week, we were offered further opportunities to gain work experience. I have secured a further two days of work experience with The Hill Group, which I am very grateful for, as this will allow me to gain further insight into the construction industry and explore the opportunities available to women within the sector.
