Dedicated Law Undergraduate seeking legal internship opportunities to further my soft skills and gain legal experience. I am ready to apply classroom knowledge and research skills into practical experience, where I hope to be able to support the team. I am a quick learner, who is prepared to develop industry knowledge and delve into challenging projects.
I worked as a legal intern, where I was mainly exposed to cases relating to Commercial and Corporate Law. My tasks consisted of drafting documents for client approval, research on developing Statute in Singapore as well as administrative tasks such as paperwork and file organisation. My first hand experience in this particular field of the Law cemented the importance of meticulous research in drafting documents. It also enhanced my understanding of the day to day tasks of a Lawyer in Singapore, where tasks often demanded attention to detail, as well as adaptive thinking. A key moment that stood out to me would be the first time I handled a due diligence document during a Merger and Acquisition case. The attention to detail required was particularly eye-opening for me, where I came to understand just how in depth work in the legal profession would be. Being involved in legal work granted me deeper insight into the rules by which the Law operates, granting me a greater appreciation for the profession.
I prepared drinks, took orders and worked with my co-workers to provide ice a seamless dining experience. My time in Starbucks proved to be a fulfilling one, where I was able to foster my interpersonal skills, both in and out of the professional realm. Being in the Service Industry has allowed me to appreciate the intricacies of the profession as well as the importance of attention to detail especially when picking up a new skill set. This was my first working experience, from which I learnt the importance of being adaptable as well as communicating in a team under a high pressure environment.I prepared drinks, took orders and worked with my co-workers to provide ice a seamless dining experience.
