Support Staff
Oasis Academy Blakenhale Infants
Birmingham, West Midlands
05.2024 - 05.2024
During my week of work experience, I worked alongside staff in Preschool, Reception and Year 2
I worked with the children who were presenting with Social and Emotional Needs, who were autistic and a couple of children who struggled with communication or were non-verbal
I assisted these particular children with completing classroom work and fine & gross motor skill activities
Staff helped me to gain knowledge on my expressed interests by allowing me sit in on activities such as Attention Bucket and Phonics
This helped me to understand the job more and what Support Staff/ Teaching Assistants do for the children everyday!
